This Salted Caramel Chocolate Tart has a chocolate shortcrust base, with a velvety smooth salted caramel, and finally a rich chocolate ganache

1) We're making some chocolate pie dough

2) And rolling it over our tart tin

3) Dock the pastry to prevent it puffing up

4) Blind bake the chocolate pie pastry shell

5) And set it aside to cool completely

6) Melt some sugar in a pan for the caramel

7) Once a deep amber caramel, add all the butter 

DISHBYRISH.CO.UK

8) And the cream, vanilla, and salt

9) Whisk till it's smooth and velvety

10) Pour the caramel into the tart shell

11) Then heat the cream and pour over dark chocolate

12) Whisk into a gloriously smooth chocolate ganache

13) Pour over the caramel and smooth over

DISHBYRISH.CO.UK

14) Finish with cocoa powder and flaky sea salt
