Spiced Nut Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
  

Ingredients:

  • 600 ml whole milk/milk of choice
  • 60 g dark choc I recommend around 50%)/or use your fav bar of milk/dark
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground cloves/2-3 whole cloves
  • 1 tbsp nutella
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • Optional: pinch of espresso powder for a stronger cocoa flavour
  • Sugar if desired

Whipped cream:

  • 4 tbsp double cream
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Method:

  • Simply place all the ingredients into saucepan and bring to a low simmer, whisk to ensure all the chocolate has melted. Then drop the heat to low and allow to infuse for around 4-5 minutes
  • If making whipped cream, whisk all ingredients together, preferably with an electric whisk until thickened
  • Dollop on your cream, sprinkle some cinnamon and relax!

Notes

For the adults, feel free to add in a little booze if desired, Baileys or a spiced rum will work well.
